Overgrown Weeds - Weeds outside of the garden will be taken care of, however it is each gardener's responsibility to maintain around thier box. Please take the time to pull the weeds and pile them up on the other side of the fence near the trailer.

Klamath Garden Tour - Klamath Sustainable Communities is hosting a Klamath Garden Tour on Sunday, August 15th from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM and the Klamath Coummunity Garden is a part of the tour! It would be great to have as many gardeners as possible participate by volunteering an hour while the tour is happening. Contact Helene is you are able to participate.

Water - please be sure to turn the water on and off from the main handle located in the back left corner of the garden. Also, please turn the spigot handle off at the hose and release the water pressure from the spray nozzle. This will help keep the hoses from developing cracks and leaking.

Gate Lock - please check the lock before you leave. We've had a few reports that the lock was open. The numbers are sensitive and have to be aligned correctly.

WHAT:
A community garden. The objective is to make garden space available to residents of Klamath Falls for the purpose of growing and cultivating edible crops.
WHO:
The Klamath Community Garden is open to residents of Klamath Falls. Preference will be given to those that do not currently have access to garden space.
HOW:
Members of the Klamath Community Garden will be assigned a 4' x 20' raised garden bed. Members will be given access to the garden space and will be responsible for all aspects of planting, growing, cultivating and harvesting thier assigned plot.
WHY:
To improve the health and well being of local residents. The garden will provide an opportunity for local residents to grow thier own food at minimal expense, improving overall health and alleviating hunger. The garden will offer an educational opportunity for members to gain skills that will last a lifetime as well as encourage healthy eating habity and offer an opportunity for increased physical activity.
